Ethical Handmade Fairtrade King Size Indian Kantha Patchwork Bedspread Cover Throw Quilt Wall Hanging
100% Cotton Size 270 x 225 cm
All covers are 2 ply which means they are double layered and reversible.
Kantha is the most popular form of embroidery practised by rural women in South Asia and has been around for many generations. Women traditionally use old saris and cloth and layer them with a kantha stitch to make a light blanket, cover, throw or bedspread. This method and the varied colours and patterns used make each cover unique.
Great to use as a blanket on summer nights or layer it on top as a comforter in the winter months. Take it to the beach or use it as a picnic blanket. Adds colour and warmth to any room be it on the bed, a wall or thrown over the sofa. This is the perfect addition for any bohemian spirit.
As the covers are handmade you may find slight imperfections, these only add to the character and are not defects or deemed as faulty.
All products are ethically sourced and fair trade.
